DENVER, Colo. — On Monday, BluSky Restoration Contractors LLC announced Kent Stemper will leave his role as CEO after seven years and join the firm’s board of directors as vice chair.
Drew Bisping, current BluSky president, will succeed Stemper as CEO.
The moves, effective immediately, are the culmination of a multi-year leadership and succession plan.
“It has been an honor to serve as CEO of BluSky during this period of growth, and I sincerely thank our employees whose hard work and dedication have allowed us to achieve so much,” said Stemper. “I also want to thank our clients and partners for their ongoing support.”
Stemper joined BluSky in 2011 as chief financial officer and was named CEO in 2014. Under his leadership, the Round Rock TX Roofing Company has grown from a regional presence into one of the largest restoration firms in the U.S. with office locations spanning the country.
“I am honored to be named the next CEO of BluSky and want to thank both Kent and our board for the confidence they have placed in me to lead this amazing team,” said Bisping. “BluSky truly is a family culture and I consider the success of our people to be my primary focus as we build this Round Rock TX Roofing business to become the premier service provider in our industry.”
Bisping began his career in the construction industry more than 25 years ago. He joined BluSky in 2007 and has led the company’s operations in a variety of capacities for the majority of those years. Recently, he oversaw the firm’s growth through mergers and subsequent integrations both as head of corporate development and as president.
“The board and I are thrilled to promote Drew Bisping to CEO, and I would like to thank Drew for his significant accomplishments to BluSky,” Stemper said. “Drew is strategic, has incredible vision, is extremely driven toward growth, and has a will to win that is second to none. The board and I have the utmost confidence in his ability to continue the upward trajectory that BluSky has been on. I look forward to continuing to work with Drew and the executive leadership team in my role as vice chair of the board.”
